About Me: My name is Nadine, I'm 27 and I live in Beirut, Lebanon. I discovered feminism while working on queer issues in Beirut and quickly immersed myself in feminist reading and web surfing and conversations with friends and activists. Realizing quickly that feminism is missing from the Arab world, I set out to create an organization called the Feminist Collective (which is currently my new obsession). I'm looking forward to having discussions on inventing new ways of feminist organizing, applying our values to strategies, and using grassroots organizing to produce real social change. I've attended a bunch of international conferences and have come to strongly believe that Global South feminism needs to challenge current mainstream women's movements with a new and fresh philosophy and outlook. Let's see how it all plays out in the coming year :)

Hi Nadine, I share the same opinion with you, but the idea needs to be initiatied by someone. It is a good initiative and we are all in support of you. In life, it is the first step that is hard to take, once it is taken the second falls in place and in no time you have gathered momentum and you are at the top speed.

See you there love Olutosin

Welcome Welcome!

It's women like you with fresh ways of thinking and looking at problems who can create real and working solutions. I hope that you are able to connect with others here on PulseWire that you can collaborate with in the name of feminism and women empowerment! It's great to have such a strong voice from Lebanon on this site.

Warm regards, Jade
