After three years in working with different teaching staff and ministry of education in Khartoum, finally the ministry of education in Khartoum state announced (decision no 10 for year 2010, which incriminated corporal punishment in primary schools ).but in higher secondary schools and rest of states still allowed. But we are so pleased with that success, because we were fighting against the fundamentalists and their poor old vision and wrong interpretations for Islam. And we finished training of trainees in October and now we have trained and more than 800 teachers in alternatives of corporal punishment in schools. more over, the minister of education wrote the introduction of our coming manual in alternatives, and these issues were tackling in good way through media, (tv,newspapers, radios). And we celebrate the graduation with the presence of media and save the children Sweden organization and different NGos, and the ambassador of the Swedish embassy and minister of education-Khartoum state and different child forums and the children ask the minister to write the introduction. We were so happy and want to share that with you. Please see the attached photos. This work done with incorporation between child rights institute and save the children Sweden - Sudan .
