Beneficiary #2

Meet Prisca Angu. She passed to form three. She is a very special girl. I caught up with her as she was returning from selling Okro/Okra from a nearby village. Her innocence and sense of maturity caught my attention.

Angu is an intelligent Mankon girl; daughter of a woman whose in-laws stripped her off her husband's property after the death of her husband in 2001. Her mother recounted this sad ordeal to me which pushed a pool of tears out of my eyes. She says she had to forcefully leave her husband's house and go rent another house with her children.

'Mami man must labour' as she is fondly called is a hardworking farmer. She has used the strength of her being to farm and sell cassava (\"water fufu\") the only source of income for her family. When her husband was alive, he worked so hard and amassed property like houses, cocoa farms and transport vehicles for his family. All property was taken away by a male in-law after his death, leaving his widow with nothing to even start life with. The strong and active woman is a source of inspiration to many women. She is a kind of woman every woman would want to emulate.

I think this woman should be given money to increase her business so that she can take up the education of her child by herself next year. I am working towards this. I ADMIRE 'MAMI MAN MUST LABOUR' SO MUCH!

Of all the girls, Angu had the best end of term results. She is a great girl. It will give me joy to see girls like this turn out to be decision makers in future. I prophecy greatness for you Angu, in the name of Jesus!
