Opportunities and barriers

Uganda SPACE has a number of women willing to work like sewing, weaving , selling handicrafts, agricultural produce, flowers and all products that you may need from africa. Uganda SPACE women do like to supply their products to a larger market and it will be a great opportunity for them to get this chance. When women sell their products they get money which is an important resource in running their families, you know here women are the family caretakers mainly; they are able to pay school fees for their children, pay for medical fees for family members, rennovate their houses, buy clothings and education needs for their children and so on. The customer first send to us the sample and quantities of product you want and then we quote the price for you. If you really appreciate we go a head and produce one sample for you and we ship it to you. Then afterwards, we expect to get some deposit of money to help us pay for the raw materials, transport it , pay for women allowances and pay for the Revenue taxes for the country.

Our barriers:

Barriers are many expecially if you are working online it may be hard to develop trust between your customer, so sending money to buy raw materials take time and customers from western countries really think that every thing in africa is cheap so they underestimate every thing, taxes are high in the country and shipping costs are high too so unless the customer orders for large quantities then it may be hard for the women to remain with something to save.
