"All the women in the world are Patriots, each one is fighting her own battle" those words were part of an emotional speech was delivered by "djamila bouhired" the legendary Algerian patriot who was honored lately at the second" Aswan international women's film festival " was held in aswan- Egypt.



" Bouhired "delivered her speech in a ceremony attended by "inas abdeldayem" the female minister of culture along with the Egyptian ambassador in Algeria among other prestigious figures such as American movie star and human activist "Danny Glover"



Djamila bouhired( 80 years old )is very inspiring female figure to the arbian females , her story started in 1953 when Algeria was occupied by France , so the spirit of the worrier cultivated to a rage steaming inside young" djamila "who joined the Algerian independent movement and stands against the French colonial rule of Algeria , the young Patriot got arrested by French troops and held without a trial in a detentions facility where she was tortured ,mutilated, raped to Force her to tell the names of her fellows in the resistance yet she refused inspite of the severe pain, her story inspires Egyptian filmmaker "youssef Shaheen".



To direct his two-hour film starring super star "Magda" portyes the struggles "bouhired "underwent ,the movie was released in Egypt and worldwide in 1958 while "djamila "was in detention. The film made an overwhelming success forcing the French government to release" bouhired" .



In the meantime "djamila" remaining the symbol of resistance and a solid promoter of human and women's rights .
