My Asset Map

My Asset Map
Women my country oppressed for centuries. Women working in government offices and NGOS are few in number. Theirs participation is also very limited due to cultural and attitude problems which hinders them from talking in public about their problems. Even though, women’s rights in Ethiopia are supported by law and key policy documents, there still remain more to be done right from childhood till maturity. Therefore, my dream is to empower myself with the contemporary development issue, technologies and innovations that would make me a high caliber development actors who can influence the national policies, strategies, action plans to ensure women empowerment. During the course of my work experience, I have developed good skill in convincing others through discussion; this skill helps me to work easily with the local government in making them to be more responsive to women’s priorities. The place that inspire me is the rural areas where I see what hard working mean, it always encourage me to see the rural women who straggle to win their daily life in the world where there is not opportunity. Whenever I need advice I consult my supervisor who is always willing to assist me under any circumstances.
