About Me:
Agapewo Ministry Uganda is a community Based Organization started in 2004 and registered in Uganda under the non government registration statue1989, on certificate of registration no.2936. Registered by the ministry of- internal affairs and our registration no. S.5914/3164. Our mission is enhancing community’s initiatives on development and prevention of HIV/AIDS for behavioral change towards physical and spiritual development.
HIV is a serious health, social, and economic problem affecting women, men, youth and children. An estimated 40 million people are infected with HIV/AIDS, and since it was discovered has claimed more than 30 million lives worldwide. There are an estimated 1.1 million people living with HIV in Uganda, which includes 120,000 children. An estimated 1.2 million children have been orphaned by Uganda's devastating epidemic. Agapewo is currently providing shelter, nutrition, education, health care, and emotional support for over 100 children who have felt the life-debilitating effects of HIV/AIDS and poverty. What can you give them? Hope that they have not been forgotten, Hope that they will have a brighter future. Agapewo is nothing without Hope. Your heart opened and hand extended changes despair into Hope.
