My Passions:Immersing myself in the places I live and work. Writing, photography, film, dance.. any way to find and share stories. Freedom.

I am a researcher at an international research organisation based in Malaysia. The main focus of the organisation is fisheries and aquaculture research for poverty reduction and food security. The work is more diverse than it sounds, dealing with issues as wide ranging as human rights, health, good governance and empowerment of women, aswell as environmenta and sustainability. Through my work I have been fortunate enough to work in many countries in Asia, and also in Africa, and I have learned so much from the people I have encountered. The more I travel, the more I want to share the stories of the incredible people I meet who are invariably just going on with their daily lives, but so often with so much dignity and humility, often in the face of hardship.

I'm excited to be a part of Pulse Wire, as I'm bowled over by the contributions I've read so far, and hope I can also bring something to this global community.

I'm looking forward to reading more of your stories, and hope I might also share some of my stories with you.
