Corruption has left the woman with a child with Autism live in Agony

Running down the corridors of the biggest hospital, it all hollow sounds of weeping and yelling for those who have lost their loved ones is the order of the day.  Ooh cry my beloved country, what shall we do?  I gave birth to my lovely son after carrying the pregnancy for over 9 months.  I could not deliver normally reasons where not given to me, all I was told was the fetal heart was fainting.  Rushed into the theartre CS was performed, alas the baby was rushed to the ICU because it had consumed the amniotic fluids from mothers womb.  after 10 days we were discharged from hospital.  9 months later the baby started seizures and medication for epilepsy were prescribed.  That has been the order of the life till to date.

My son was declared as a mentally challenged child with autism cannot go into a normal school but a school for children with special needs.  An American organisation created a clinic within the countries largest hospital and donated all manner of medication and aid for such children, thumbs up to you good people.  The greedy public officers misappropriated the funds and aid has been withdrawn.  Mothers with these children are now left hopeless in search of the much needed life drugs for epileptic children, unfortunately the drug that was prescribed for my son and a few other children cannot be easily be found in our country.  This drug costs US$300 per month.  This is an average income for a family to be consumed on drugs only.  All because of the so called in power enriching their pockets and forgetting the less privileged.  OOh cry my country.

How running from one hospital and chemist looking for these essential drugs, what shall we do, the seizures are growing no aid from government what shall we do?  For me I can try to afford with struggle what about those that cannot speak and are not working.  I look as I sit among them in the corridors of the hospital waiting for a lasting solution, the Doctor walks in all they can give is a prescription,  \" go and buy the medicine I know it is very rare I wish you all the best\"  Is this a solution for a tax payer, is this a solution for the less privileged?

My hope and prayer and plea is that please Donors come back we will not manage on our own the drugs cannot be found.  No social security no medical aid what is the difference with war.  This is silent war.

I rest my case.
