Introducing myself and my journal: Create a new future through Empowering Women and Girls!

About Me:
I am trained as Cultural Anthropologist. I worked with women and Harijan's ("Untouchables") in India and through working with Native American cultures wrote a book with a female elder in the US Southwest. I also have a background in medical anthropology, diversity studies, and cross-cultural education. I am moving into a new phase in applied Development Anthropology with a focus on "creating a new future through empowering women and girls." I am thoroughly excited about reading the Voices of Our Future, learning about how your lives are lived in your own unique worlds, and working together with you for a common goal.
My Passions:
nature, Spirit, dance, empowering others.

My Challenges:
Sometimes there is a certain deep inner work in meeting challenges and opportunities for growth.

My Vision for the Future:
a world where women can sit alongside men in governments and institutions and where women and girls are empowered as full participants in society.

My Areas of Expertise:
cultures, diversity, experimental writing, editing, organizing, field research, partnering with others for a cause.
