Call for blogs from young feminists on how they put a STOP to sexual assault

Hello all,

I thought I would post this call for blogs from the Young Feminist Wire on this space. If you're under the age of 30, it is a great opportunity to write a blog post or submit a video about what you are doing in your community, country or internationally to stop sexual violence and get published. The deadline for submissions is May 31st. Submissions are accepted in English, French and Spanish.
Please share this call within your networks.

For more details, read the full call for blogs below:

May is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and we would like to hear about how you, young feminists from around the world, work to put an end to sexual assault in your communities, countries, and around the world.

Since the beginning of the year, the Young Feminist Wire has covered a lot of stories and analysis related to the theme of violence against women and girls. With the increase in violence against women and girls around the world and the theme of this year’s 57th
Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) on Elimination and Prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls. We recently published an interview with HarrasMap, an organization working to end sexual street harassment in Cairo, Egypt, posted a news article about a young woman who ended her life after being gang raped, and published a blog written by one of our members on police violence against indigenous women in Canada. You can also read AWID’s analysis of the CSW agreed conclusion documents here.

Now, we want to hear from you! Simply tell us your story of how you have taken an initiative to raise awareness, organize a campaign, created a group, created a mural or art piece or blog, or participated in any other form of resistance to put an end to sexual assault in
your schools, neighborhoods, communities, countries, or even internationally.
