Findings from parents'answrs during the interviews

With available time challenges 15 girls interviewed 45 parents in their community in two weeks time. Some girls had to find the respondents in a shirt time before they went for work in summer holidays . Fortunately , I could have a time for them to go on a short trip after the first week of interview and we all had fun with it.

It was a great campaign because the girls could give the parents a good message that all of them didn't know about. At the end of the interview , the parents learned from the girls that there was a good education program for good job opportunity for girls . With this program , their daughters can become engineers without taking the matriculation exam which is the biggest obstacle for all of the high school students in the country.

We asked 10 questions and each question provides space for parents' expectations for their sons and daughters. According to their answers. all of the parents expected good education and job opportunities for both their sons and for their daughters. Also sons and daughters help their parents at home on school holidays. Even five years old daughter has to do the house work and some of the girls have to work outside such as road building , collecting latex from rubber trees and work as a street vendor on holidays .

Most of the parents said that they would agree their daughters to go to engineering school but some parents said no because they are worried about their young daughters or they need their daughters at home to help them.

( I will write more in a few days)
