Refuse to be Dormant!



Her Mother was an R.N. whom had acquired much in her younger years. She had graduated from high school in a poor and impoverished environment. She went on to the big city and obtained her BSN at an historic black Nursing college, graduating at the age of 22. She purchased a home at 24, at a time when Women were housewives and not homeowners. She then purchased land having a legacy to leave for her family. She had 2 children by the age of 29 and was well able to support them financially and emotionally. She had acquired all of her dreams. She just didn't have the goal of being killed at the age of 29, leaving her children behind. The rich little girls were now left orphans and uncovered in their society. Through many years of hardship, 1 of the girls were determined to live a legacy. She didn't let her environment determine her destiny, it became her journey. Becoming a Leader in her community, fighting for women that are incarcerated, creating programs for the less fortunate, mentoring women and kids in undeserved areas....that Woman became ME.
