Introducing myself and my journal: The Gifts of Listening

About Me:
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I moved to Portland in 2003 and it has fast become my hometown. I have thrived here spiritually due to the amazing friends I have met, and the access to the beauty of the natural world around me. I am a cook by trade, but my passion is in writing the stories of others. I have recently returned from a one year sabbatical where I walked across the United States as well as Spain and parts of Portugal. That journey, though completed nearly four months ago, still hasn't fully seeped into my bones from all the experience it brought me. I am dearly looking forward to hearing the voices of all these remarkable women, and I feel honored to be here.
