Challenges and barriers in my community

Customs, illiteracy, discrimination, lack of empowerment, poverty and the thought of people have always created the greatest challenge and barrier to bring positive change in my community. Whenever I have tried to bring positive change in the life of my community people’s either they don’t want to adopt it as they are uneducated or there is someone from the society who stands beside me to suppress my work. The Female voices are always suppressed and they are not allowed to work freely. They are always binding by the chain of custom and culture. The custom of untouchable (lower caste people can’t work along with higher caste people) has always created a great barrier for lower caste people to develop themselves. For instant, lower caste people can’t drink water for the same tap which higher caste people used. Higher caste people try to govern the lower caste people. Female and lower caste people are not aware about their rights. People are below the line of poverty, they have the problems of hands to mouth so they are not interested in any changes besides to solve their problems of hands to mouth.
In my opinion, to bring positive change in the community, the conservative thinking of the people should be changed. Education can helps to bring change in the thought of people. If every people in the community are educated then they themselves develop their community and the feeling of discrimination will be removed itself. The education provided should include the community and neighborhood relationship and it’s important. The cultural values have somehow affected my society to get progress so; some of the culture which creates discrimination between the people must be changed.
To change the thoughts of community is the greatest deal; I alone can’t change the community. I need some others hand to help me to purse my destiny. When I was in my hometown I used the local club, local festivals, door to door campaign and wall poster as a main support to help me to educate my community and overcome their problem. Now Since, I am far from my community, I am using World Pulse as a medium to create awareness in the minds of younger’s as they are always in favors of change and they are the one who really can change community.
Nowadays, Internet has reached in the home of most of the peoples of world, so Internet can be a great media to exchange thoughts, ideas and create awareness .Whenever I have wrote my articles my friends from the different parts of the world have comment on my journal and their comment have always encourage me to do something for my community. Their suggestion to solve these challenges has become effective.
In conclusion, It’s not only my community that needs change but the world needs change and to bring change I, you and we should work together ,since unity is strength and World Pulse is the one who bring us together to get united.
