Introducing myself and my journal: Making Life Work For All

About Me:
I am Niyi Oyebade, a graduate of Chemistry. Living in a country that has suffered great economic backwardness, political instability and social unrest, despite our abundant natural and human resources, through many years of unhealthy, successive military as well as civilian rules. And being aware of the quality of life obtainable on the other side of the divide in the West. I have come to realize that what makes all the difference is not in the quantity of resources but in the quality of leadership available. While leadership in the West offers some measure of respect for the rights of their citizens through good policy formulation and implementation, translating to effective management of resources. The reverse appears to be the case in less developed societies- Nigeria inclusive. There is an abuse of the rights of the citizens and denial of same to good quality life. Being somebody with a passion to correct the ills in my society by speaking against human rights abuses and advocating for good governance, in order to ensure that all elements of the society- from the leadership down, offer every citizen the right environment to fulfill their God-given potentials. World Pulse seems to give me an opportunity in this direction.
