Walk with me……

This has been the cry of my heart for as long as I could remember. It has always been the longing of my heart to find a woman that would be willing to walk an extra mile with me as I pursue my life dreams and fulfill my purpose. I come from a country where mentors and life coaches are rare and the few available are mainly men. This has often bothered me because deep down I knew that a fellow lady would better understand me and identify with my struggles. I have sat under the mentor-ship of different inspirational men but this inner void and gap still lingers on.

As a result of my struggles, I have been inspired to be a mentor and role model to fellow young people who could be going through a similar dilemma. I have mentored and nurtured hundreds of young ladies and men from all walks of life. Although it is a fulfilling experience, I often wish I had another lady come along side and play the role of mentor in my life. This is one of the experiences I most look forward to as I go through the voice of the future program. I look forward to being inspired and taught by the wisdom and experience of other women even as I share my life with them.

I believe that it’s a God given right for every human being to be able to attain to their full potential. I believe that there is hidden potential in every living soul and if given a chance to thrive would reach its full potential. My vision is a world where young people are given the right conditions and structure to reach their full potential. A world in which we all freely thrive without any form of discrimination. I also do acknowledge that this is way beyond what I can do as an individual and that is why I joined Pulse wire so as to join efforts with like minded people to make this world a better place for all of us. I am passionate about helping other people reach their full potential through on going nurturing relationships. I live to build a legacy that will outlive my earthly days and inspire many to never settle for less. To be all that I am meant to be is a life mission not a wish.

I am certain that through the voice of the future correspondent program, I will not only be equipped and nurtured to reach my full potential but rather will also be empowered to use my skills and talents for the betterment of others especially grassroots women in my community. I look forward to being equipped with knowledge on how better I can use the resources and talents at my disposal in order to do more for the marginalized women in my community.

I am already linking up with fellow Ugandans on pulse wire and plans are under way for a networking meeting where we will get to meet each other and discuss possibilities of carrying out joint initiatives. I believe that when we partner with others, we achieve more.

Not only do I look forward to what I will acquire through this training program but also to different ways that I shall be able to give back to the wider community. I am already mentoring a girl in Nepal as a result of being a member of one of the groups in this community and look forward to being a voice of the future correspondent mentor in future. I believe in reciprocating that which I have received. The true beauty of life is when we can truly share ourselves with others in a transparent and enriching manner.
