Disabled Women Arise

Again, I am putting out a call for disabled women everywhere to share their stories with the \"able-bodied\" community. I realize how hard it is to reveal yourself to the world, but it's not only time that the world acknowledged your stories, but it is a big step toward self-healing and acceptance. I realize that disabled women are among the most vulnerable to sexual, physical, verbal, social and economic abuse. It is painful to reveal our vulnerabilities, but also healing.

Most people never have even thought that those of us who are disabled have hopes and dreams, expectations for the future. I would like to share those visions with each other, your successes, your disappointments. What do you do to balance your life; what makes you feel good about yourself...

I fully believe that this is the era of Global Woman Rising. We, who are disabled, are part of this world-changing transformation. It is exciting to be alive right now!

Hoping to hear from my sisters, Noreen
