On the Bukavu road there are a lot of accidents due to the drivers’ speed. We don’t have any responsibility of the road. Everyday there are accidents arising because the car goes by too fast and that causes accidents. These are the problems that seem difficult. We also lack roadwork. These are always the problem faced by those who take that road. So many things happened and therefore we cannot take that road at night. Insecurity is also reigning. Now we want to assume responsibility to attain freedom in our country. Thank you my friends.

I totally agree with you that the roads are unsafe. It is the responsibility of the government to ensure that the road users and the pedestrians are protected from accidents. Therefore i would encourage you to sensitize both the government and the citizens of your country so that road signs are out in place and stronger traffic laws are enacted so that people's lives are protected.

Very interesting and informative. But what can you do as a concerned citizen to overcome these barriers? Can you encourage the government to make the road safer?

I also live in a country where drivers often do not respect pedestrians, and many people are hurt just trying to cross the street. Luckily, here the government has recognized the problem and started a campaign to get drivers to "respect life", but paying attention to pedestrians. It does not seem fair for those of us who have to walk to work or to the market every day, to have to put our lives at risk to do so, only because drivers are in a hurry, or don`t seem to care who they hurt.
