Illusion of life

Roses and Thorns

At times we want a rose and we know that we might get pricked by the thorns;
And most often we see daisies and chrysanthemums on the pavement
where thorns are under cover
and those are the ones which prick the feet but bleeds the heart...

If it is a bush of roses; even if there is no rose but thorns;
the hope of a red rose rekindles the desire to live again and again.
But if there are thorns of a cactus
the fear of getting pricked fades away the resilience of life...

If it is a night of full moon,
even though cloud covers the moon
I can see the face illuminated with the smile of hope;
But if it is a night of no moon
even though the sky is clear
all clouds due to fear of darkness snatches away the glow of life....

As light is to life and enlightenment,
death is to darkness and ignorance;
As rose is to bliss and benevolence,
trials and ordeal are the thorns...
