Introducing myself and my journal: Women Internet Inclusion

About Me:
My name is Bibiana Okereafor. A Nigerian woman. I worked with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria and retired voluntarily after 26 years of service. The reason why I retired voluntarily was to assist the rural women in any way I could. To educate and empower them so that they can become self-reliant and productive both to themselves, their families and the Nigerian economy at large. I have an NGO (Aegis Empowerment Initiative) through which we organize a lot of programmes targeted to women development and empowerment. I eventually became the Chairlady of the women association in my rural community, the Oboama Women Association. Since inception as their leader, I have initiated a number of projects targeted to their development and economic enhancement. One of such projects is a proposed Oboama Women Cyber Centre - a centre where rural women are expected to develop their computer skills and also communicate with the world throuh the use of internet.
There are also other projects which I have lined up to execute for the interest of the rural women.
My utmost aim is to work hard to touch as many number of rural women that I counter within my rural community and beyond.
