Self Discovery-The Fundamental wealth

"Education is one Major Source of wealth any woman,girl and youth should aspire to have, it is the foundation for Self Discovery"

My father once told me ,that he discovered when I was a child that I desire to be learned,because whenever I am cleaning the house ,at the sight of any news paper,I will take and read. That was exactly what I turned out to be. I am the first graduate produced among my siblings and I have been a source of inspiration to my siblings and now my nieces and newphews.

I am passionate about seeing people go to school and continue to higher institution and on and on. Even in my community ,any where I have lived ,I never wanted to see a young adult, idle after high school. I have been able to inspire  and mentor so many youth (on one on one basis) to go to school even when they are engaged in  business or  in a vocation .

Skill acquisition is another source of wealth that I have explore over the years,I have able to acquired some skills, such as soap making, cream making,cakes and confectionaries, and so on ,which I produce for sale and use at home.I believe that there is no limit to knowledge any one can acquire, if you can think it ,you can acquire it.

My most desirable of wealth is Access to technology,Infomation-technology, Internet and social media,it was through my access to the technological devices and Internet that I discovered 'World Pulse ' and every other platform that I have been .It has been a great source of wealth in discovering resources, people that are like minded,encouraging you in every way to achieving your dreams.

With all of these wealth and much more ,I have been able to discover 'Who I am'. And I am prepared to make other youth  and women ,discover themselves, through my Initiative,which I called "Pathfinder Initiative".

Vision

Pathfinder initiative vision is to inspire ,mentor and empower youth and women to reach and actualise their full potentials.

Challenges:

Pathfinder Initiative is not yet registered as a Non Governmental organisation (NGO) in Nigeria.Making it difficult to access funding to carry on our work.

Need: We need support for registration as an NGO, contributions and  moral and financial support toward our upcoming event.

We also need material support such as Make-up kit, Clipper ,sewing machine,hair dryer etc, to empower youth after their  3-6 month skill acquisition training.

Events:We decided to carry on our work in the immediate community ,despite our Challenges.
