These days, I have got a lot of time on my hands to actually reflect on how far women have gone in the journey of emancipation, equality, paradigm shift, change, transformation and all progressive coinages that have been adopted so far in our journey of self realization and actualization.

In the long run, I shook my head and posited that we are doing it awesomely well.

Change is not magic neither is it sudden, lasting change is gradual and consistent, this is why there are so many women contributing their quota to change in every corner and spheres of life, scalability as impactful as it is cannot replace sutstainability because scale can be used for either demonstration or to make impact but sustainability is ensuring there is a lasting change in whaever area of intervention we choose.

Women from ages past have worked tiresless for a course or the other, it is not as if they love to challenge authority or system but the system loves to challenge women. Our system is structured in a way that puts women on edge, Our structure does not recognise the humanity of women, it degrades, strips women of equal power with men and also entrenches and supports inequality in our world.

There is nobody responsible for this, I do not really agree that men are comfortable with inequality, on the other way round, real men love equality, they are burdened and saddled with shouldering responsibilities rested upon their shoulders by the socio-cultural milieu they found themselves, men are tired of being looked upon as a demi-god who could make all the tremendous changes in the world, when they realise that, to go far in life; they need to go with their partner, who happens to be 'the woman' .

It is only people with low self esteem that can consider themselves better than any other human being.

What does it take to be human? It is a question that should resonate in the mind of anyone who that believes in his or her personal superiority. All humans are created equal, no one is more equal than the other.

On the other way round, Subjectively, I think that patriarchy has worked calculatedly, it has positioned women in a way that they are so overloaded with unpaid task that the mere thought of contributing their quotas to the national economy becomes so tiring. The most painful aspect of woman to woman relationship is our inability to listern and reason with oone another.

Women are so powerful that their mere risiing in the morning sets the universe in motion, women are the bedrock of everything that is working, we are the only fertilized garden that can germinate human seed and bring it painfully to fruition with love an da heart beat that pumps blood. Women are blessed with fingers that can grind with rock, they are blessed with fingers that can rock the body of on innocent being, fingers that can calm the nerves of a warrior, oh! we are blessed with fingers that can scrub till its white as snow and we are blesed with fingers that can bring anything out of a solid rock.

When will you know your power, when will you realise that you are doing it, and when will women know that everything works because we are doing it?

Woman, you aare doing it well, Yes, that role, that work, you are putting in your best energy, it is not an easy task fighting an opressive system, appreciate your candour, your inner strength and the spirit to forge along in a society that represses every effort of the other sex.

I fond it lighter these days, to pat myself on the shoulder, smile, and most times, I tell myself loud and clear; welldone for keeping on the struggle, everything is gonna be alright.

Dear olutosin This is a beautiful piece. Thanks for sharing your such an optimistic thoughts, we should all indeed see the great changes are already happening every corner of the world, in terms gender inequality and women's education. But also,of course, we should keep working towards the great transformation because we still have got a lot more to do. So, Let's keep our spirits alive with strong sense of faith. Cheers, Jampa

We work so hard and always forget to look back and see the ileage we have covered, we have done so well, in class yesterday, I narrated how FGM was done in my presence then, the girls would queue after school hours in front of the herbalist, usually an old man, he would use the broken shell of a big snail to cut the clitoris, the girls will not attend school for a week or so, today, it is oulawed, we forgot we won that war. This is just one of the victory.

We have done so well.

You are outspoken, courageous and inspiring to all women. I love your strength and persistence. Please do not say that women cannot listen. Some are but some are not. We dont accept the saying that all women are unreasonable neither inferior. U.S. president Obama supports strategies to have more women involved in peace making in the world. ( Women are more peace makers and reasonable than men. Love, Hideko N.

Thanks for the correction, it is well noted. WOMEN CAN AND WILL LISTEN ...

I LOVE your passion. I would LOVE to hear you in a public speaking mode.

You are so right about how far we have come as women. it pains me greatly that in my country so many women are lobbying to take the United States back to the days of the original constitution. How stupid can they be? Don't they know that women weren't even full people in the eyes of our nation's founding "fathers."

We continue to have women worshiping a male manifestation of The Sacred Spirit rather than finding and sharing their own manifestations of The Sacred Spirit in all the universe. When will we have the courage to simply say "No" to giving birth to more of the children of the men who grab and promote power through gods of fear and war?

Thank you for giving girls options for becoming women, other than bearing babies.

I appreciate every word. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
