5 minutes with Iranian women: Iranian family drama in US cinamas

Art always breaks the borders...This movie offers a unique opportunity to pick into drama of two Iranian families and give an understanding of position of women in society and divorces laws. However, it is important to remember that one should avoid over generalization. This movie is just stories of two Iranian families. :-)

EHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian feature film \"Nader and Simin, a Separation\" directed by Asghar Farhadi would start screening in the US cinemas early October.

The Film which has been screened since early June in France is amongst the 10 best selling movies in the European country and it has attracted more than 400,000 viewers so far.

\"Nader and Simin, a Separation\" started screening in 105 cinemas in France, but due to warm reception from the viewers, it increased up to 50 other cinemas each week.

The winner of the Golden Bear for Best Film and two silver bears for the Cast in German Berlin Festival, has been shown in different festivals of Berlin, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, Transylvania and Istanbul.

\"Nader and Simin, a Separation\" has been shown in Belgium, Thailand, Holland and it would be displayed in Switzerland as well. It will also be on screen in Italy and Norway simultaneously late December.

It would start screening in Brazil early January according to the due schedule.

Farhadi's feature film which won the Grand Award for the Best Film in Saint Petersburg festival in Russia also scored the First Prize of Golden Apricot Film Festival in Armenia. It won Croatian festival award.
