Introducing myself and my journal: My Voice

About Me:
My Name is Omnia Al Desoukie, I am a 21 years old female Journalist located in Egypt. I was born in Cairo but was raised in Dubai-UAE. Stepping back to my country Egypt in 2002, I was stunned by how different I had to adapt to the environment. But ever since I decided to change and develop myself to become a better person.

I participated in community work since I was 13 years old. I realized the mutual benefit of helping others which would eventually satisfy my wants and help me to move closer to my dreams. Four years later, I decided to study media and gain a bachelor’s degree. I was looking forward to understand the process; thirsty to get more in depth education .Since then, I became fascinated by how people especially in the Arab World absorb the information 'delivered' to them. Simultaneously, I joined an organization by the name of AIESEC - which is the international platform for young people to explore and develop their own potential.

The issue of absorption has build an internal frustration, By the time I approached my final year in Mass Communication, I became decisive and ever persistent to not stop the pursuit for a quality education. I am interested in learning more about Human (Interpersonal) Communication and how do we interact and why do many people relatively 'believe' or take for granted the information that travels to them through different medium.

And now I became more passionate about the ways we can develop our own media, to help our citizens.

My Passions:
Photography, writing, swimming, climbing mountains, chocolate!

My Vision for the Future:
The world will become a better place!
