Release our Girls unhurt

Seriously the bokom harem issue has become a huge and painful thorn in our flesh in Nigeria. It started as a joke and we all thought it is phase that will go away with time but time has proved us wrong. Boko Haram has come to stay in Our country and it has become the bitter truth staring every of us in the face. There has been many massacres and genocides attributed to this dare devil which we have not recovered from. The incessant bomb blast at different locations has this terrorist group claiming responsibility .

Now the worst has happened - our girl children innocent, underaged and virgins has been kidnapped and turned to sex slaves by these hoodlums. These virgins are being raped and ravaged by these outlaws. It is only God that can tell accurately what is happening to those girls, we can only seat and imagine it. They are being raped everyday, every minute or every hour or they forced to carry out any type of oral and anal sex that cannot be captured in words, they being forced to cook, clean and cater for other domestic needs.

Words can hardly describe the agony the parents, relatives and friends are passing through painting and conjuring the mental torture these girls are subjected to. The trauma can only be imagined.

My pain in all these is that the stories from the onset are inconsistent from how the attack was carried out to the number of girls involved to the actions being taken by our government & security personnel to rescue these girls. Stories from some quarters are even saying that these girls may not have been kidnapped by Boko haram but is politically motivated to cripple the present government of Jonathan. I am really pained because each time I see my two girls, I remember these innocents girls being held hostage for no fault of theirs. Some are saying that our security personnel know where these girls are if so what is stopping them from rescuing them? Our President in his world broadcast said they are still looking for them and setting up fact finding committee to look into the matter instead of a rescuing task force.

We continue to count seconds, minutes, hours & days when we will see our children alive. I am being optimistic that we will see them alive. Let's all join hands in prayer and fasting to our God almighty to touch the heart of these captors to release and bring back our girls unhurt.

These girls human rights have been infringed in so many ways. What will be the adequate compensation when they are eventually released - our guess could be as good as mine. Let's chew over it.
