its been a while



Hi my community and friends, its been a while since i visited and in those period a lot has happened both in this community and in my organisational life. i have been involved in so many activities ranging from




  • International Widows Day when we gathered as Women in Peace & Security Network to discuss the evil practices meted out to women when they lose their husbands to death. From disinheritance to practices meted out to their persons which infringes on their rights as human beings to

  • conflict analysis and resolution on community leadership tussles and non-inclusion of women in peace building and community governance.

  • Advocacy to end blood ritual marriage which was meant to subjugate women but has boomeranged and is killing young productive men in droves whose wives are having affairs with other men reported on my \"Child Not Bride\" write up.

  • International Day of African Child on media chat Lives of Children in Africa and what the future has in store for them giving the challenges children face in Africa.

  • Climate change and gender relationship especially as it concerns food security and building resilience. Women have to learn improved farming methods and look for improved variety of seedlings and livestock.

  • Youth Mentoring of young girls to community campaign on cancer control. At the closure of the 2017, we had an

  • Advocacy on Sustainable Immunization Financing & Immunization Demand Uptake to all stake holders - government, state ad non-state actors, networks and communities.

  • Media chat on the community mobilization on immunization demand uptakes in different communities reached.

  • Its been a rewarding 2 years and this 2018 even promises to be more interesting, rewarding and busy. the campaign for equity for women and gender equality must be achieved.

  • Already we are part of the technical committee working on the International Women's Day celebration titled \"Leave No Woman Behind\" in collaboration with Rivers State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. Need Assessment is currently being carried to assist us draw a plan of action that will serve beyond the IWD.

  • we are also mobilizing for voters education and making sure that women gets politically involved in their different regions and parties.

  • Will take time to take the issues mentioned above one after the other and give updated version on the activities on their merits.
