When I was five year old, I started putting a small cloth on my head with lots of joy and honor. Still I am wearing it since fifteen years without any reason. Frankly, I have never thought about its value, and also I have never questioned from myself that why do I wear it? I don’t know whiter it is because of being a Muslim girl by my faith, or being a woman by nature. In fact, I only know that it is not only because of my Islam religion or being a Muslim woman, but for my wisdom of being a woman, and I find peace in it.
Honestly, whenever, I put it on my head I feel a deep connection with it. I feel so release and peaceful in this small cloth which is called Hijab. It makes me to feel very safe and to have a strong control on life. It is a very important part of my soul. It always helps me just like my hands, legs, eyes, nose, and other part of my body.
Whenever I am sad, and I cry, it helps me to remove my tears from my eyes and face by giving me its small corner. It assists my eyes, nose, and face when the weather becomes so dusty by covering them with its right and small angle. Also, it secures my head and hair from wind; both in cold and hot weather, snow, dust, and from the strong sunny days.
Moreover, it is my dignity; I am wearing it for preserving my self-esteem, for pursuing my life in a way of secure and self respect. Most of people also some Muslim women think that the women who wear Hijab are in terrible situation. However, they aren’t; instead, they feel very nice and have wonderful feelings about wearing their Hijab. Truly, these feelings are not limited only for the women, who wear Hijab, but also for the other women around the world. They also can wear and feel the feelings as they do.
Frankly, I think that in our present life, if we see very clearly both men and women have same styles. They have same clothing style, same manner style, same hair cut style, and same passions; in reality, it is good that they have same styles, but not very good or wonderful from a divine perception. Instead, we have to distinguish from them because we are women, and we can be more than the men only by accepting of being different from them and by wearing of veil.
Think about a day that all women around the world wear Hijab and look similar to each other, no matter whether she is Christian, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Baha’i, or other faith. On that time, we will see that we, women, are the same; as a result, we will protect the world instead of the men.
You feel, I feel, and other women of the earth do feel that we can be called only women one day, not Muslim women, Christian women, Hinduism women, or etc, but we really don’t know how, and it just needs an act!
We need an action which will save the women’s dignity who wear Hijab, it just wants from all the women around the earth that only one day, if they could wear Hijab and show their unity not to represent Islam but being women by nature. Certainly, we can do it; we can save our being as a powerful creature of the earth. Only by saving the people’s life who believe that their Hijab is everything for them, we will get our power and our real position among our societies.
Do you think in the future, will we preserve our dignity and self respects as women on the face of the earth when in the present half of us, women, around the world are neglected for wearing Hijab?
