I don’t remember the point in my life when I came to the realization that there needs to be a shift in the way women are talked about and treated in our society.
Change is one of the only constants in life yet people are reluctant to embrace it. This is mostly because change represents a departure from the norm and results in feelings of uncertainty.
My upbringing in Kenya has greatly shaped the person that I am today. At an early age, I became aware of issues such as poverty, lack of healthcare, illiteracy and poor nutrition.
Everybody has a story. Web 2.0 accords individuals the opportunity to be active participants in the telling of their stories. That is the one thing that excites me the most about it.
