Dear sisters,

Oh the things we suffer because we are women! If men were in our shoes, they would not suffer half the things we suffer. My quest for religious freedom put my life on the line....because I am a woman!

Here comes my multimedia piece: It is a compliment to my article on religious freedom which you can read here:

Let this inspire women all over to fight and be free from oppression!

This multimedia story is part of an assignment for Voices of Our Future a program of World Pulse that provides rigorous digital empowerment and citizen journalism training for grassroots women leaders. World Pulse lifts and unites the voices of women from some of the most unheard regions of the world.

Loved your video and the strength in your voice, transmigrating your passion and conviction! "Because I AM a woman!!!"

Be a voice, tell a story, start the fire. | Sé una voz, cuenta una historia, enciende el fuego.

What a strong delivery. You captured my attention the whole time with your determination and the conviction in your voice! I am so glad you overcame these challenges and your family realized what a strong daughter they have and they should be proud of you. Take a bow! Hugs,

You know Delphine, module 4 was my favorite module but it came at a time when I had so much to deal with. I am glad I could put this together in the end. I am so happy that I overcame the persecution from my family and today I can motivate others with my story. I will certainly do better when next I have to produce a multimedia piece. Thank you for reading and commenting.

I loved the directness of this video. The simplicity of your presentation made it very powerful as the emotion and your conviction came shining through. I am so glad that your family came around to understanding your choice and ultimately respected your freedom to make that choice. Well done.

Bravo! It is not only in your country that children are beaten for thinking for themselves. In my country we dare not publicly tell our own stories for fear of being sued by our own families in the legal system and/or being committed to mental institutions as a way of destroying our voices.

i am happy that your family loves you enough to now respect your decision instead of bringing more harm to you.

Sad to hear that about your country. In my country, the law allows for freedom of worship from 18 years but this is hardly practiced. That's why we have to keep fighting. Thanks for watching, Y.

Precious- First, I must say I nearly cried when at last I can see your person and hear your actual voice. And what a voice you have, magnifying the words you have written. Your strength emotes from your being, as you describe your overcoming. God made us women, and made us with purpose. Thank you for sharing your purpose with us.
