After My Module 1 Assignment

I was asked to present my press pass before interviewing the woman activist I first wanted to interview. Since I do not have one yet, I had to change my subject. I am glad I found an even more compelling subject. Was I nervous? Yes, I was a little nervous. I was not sure the interview was going to be granted. I thought the lack of a press pass would continue to hinder me. However, my subject knew about World Pulse so she granted me the interview. When I first saw her I thought she was perhaps a worker at the NGO. She seemed so young to be the boss. Knowing she was the boss made me more relaxed. Nervousness flew threw the window and I hit the interview with boldness. It was more like having a discussion with a friend.

During the interview I asked as many questions as I could. I made sure I answered all the 5 Ws (Where, When, What, Who, Why) and 1 H (How) questions. This is one thing I think I conquered very well.

However, I failed to check the efficiency of my recording device before the interview. When I played the recording, the voice was so low that I could barely hear a thing. Thankfully, I had taken quality notes with many direct quotations. So the notes were my rescue. Next time, I will work with an efficient gadget for recording.

I am so looking forward to doing this again and again. It is interesting to source for information and carve that information into a readable piece.
