Introducing myself and my journal: Behind These Dark Brown Eyes

About Me:
I am the eldest of 5 children in a single-mother low-income household. I am a former dual enrollment student, meaning I received my high school diploma and Associate in Arts degree all at once. I'm am a spiritual person who loves intellectual stimulation. I'm highly free-spirited (not reckless). Maturity beyond age. I believe in individuality as well as unity amongst women. I am not a product of my environment. Rather than play the role I'd rather write the script...

My favorite quote by that of the great Ms. Zora Neale Hurston reads: \"Sometimes I feel discriminated against but it does not upset me. It merely astonished me. How can any deny themselves the pleasure of my company? It beyond me.\"

My Passions:
Serving my community through scholarship and devotion.

My Challenges:
Coming from a low income single-mother home.

My Vision for the Future:
Women united and reaching their fullest potential as individuals.

My Areas of Expertise:
Writing. Speaking. Spoken Word.
