Whose role?

Is it you or is it me?
Carrying a twisted gun in one hand and a smile across the face
Where were you when hope took a trip?
Come now carrying a placard

The huts have dried up
The goats cannot be milked
Silence manufactured a coup d'etat
Screams across the night dominate the horizon

Who is next?
Is it you or is it me?
Who will rescue?
Is it you or is it me?

Across the skies
Over the plains
A thunderous roar
of Amazon women

Who can stand?
With them, Justice carries her scale and weigh
War chants filled the air
Is there need for war?

Reconciliation!
Restoration
Redemption
Not resistance

Our bodies must be liberated
Our thoughts given expression
Our education given priority
Our environment sustainable

Whose role?
Is it me or is it you?
