Stories of 'violated' women

Dear sisters,

Discrimination starting from birth is the terrible truth for many Indian girls and women - if they are allowed to be born and exist, that is. Hearteningly, some of them survive bravely, despite the umpteen challenges of health, economics, social taboos et al. The late Maya Kamath, one of the few women political cartoonists from India, depicts this gruesome reality in some of her brilliant and powerful drawings (like the one here).

We (including men) must continue to strive to eliminate abuse of and atrocities against girls, women, transgenders. After all, everyone is human!

Warmth, love and peace,
Pushpa
