Hi Mentors and Midwives!

I hope that all is going well for you. I just wanted to send a quick note to see how everything is going. Are you being able to connect with your Correspondent? Are you experiencing any technical or logistical difficulties? Are you having fun :)?

This group is a great space to discuss your questions and experience. Scott and I monitor this group on a daily basis. If you have a question or comment that you think other mentors/midwives would benefit from hearing the answer to, please post it here!

You can still email me of course, but since I am sure many of the questions are similar, we would all benefit from posting them to this group.

Kind regards,

Great, let me know if you can't get in touch with her in the next couple of days! You may also want to check in with her Mentor to see if she's heard from her.

still haven't heard anything from Najwa. I've made contact with her Mentor, Kat, and she hasn't heard directly from Najwa yet either. I will be traveling starting tomorrow, 13-18 November, and will not likely have email contact during that time. Will that be a problem? I'm really excited to be doing this and don't want to miss out on anything!

Just heard from Laura - my mentee in Liberia. She is graduating from her university on Nov. 20th We should all send our congratulations !!

Thanks for the check-in...My correspondent Martha and I have been chatting by email and have just linked together through Skype. Looking forward to building a relationship! (It was also nice to be introduced by email to Martha's mentor Nancy - good to make that connection.)

Hi Rachael,

I connected with my correspondent Rudzanimbilu last week via e-mail, and now we're also friends here on WorldPulse and have decided to communicate via Skype as well. I think we're a great fit and this is going to be a really creative and inspirational few months! Thanks also for connecting me with Rudzanimbilu's mentor, Cindy. Looking forward to hearing about more of these lovely partnerships.

Hi, Rachel,

I've connected with my correspondent, but are we to wait until Nov, 15th before we have our first Skype/call?

Thank you for everything you are doing,

Hi Sarah,

You are free to connect informally with your Correspondent whenever you like. We've suggested times on the detailed calendar when you could consider scheduling your more formal mentoring calls. As a mentor, you've committed to those three long calls, plus a short check-in each week. Beyond that, its up to you!

Kind regards,
