I am the Clinical Director of SAGE a non profit organization that is committed to addressing trauma in women who have survived abuse. I am utilizing EMDR a modality that addresses trauma through the nervous system. EMDR has been shown to be effective for PTSD in a quick and culturally adaptable way. I spent my training working with traumatized women from Cambodia. In addition to EMDR we have acupuncture, Feldenkrais, yoga, somatic therapy, art therapy and good food. SAGE is also working with trafficking victims domestically as well as internationally. My commitment is to bring EMDR to women that are suffering the effects of trauma and to train as many people inside their own culture to bring about positive change through mental health and economic freedom. I welcome partners who are involved in similar projects..
Karuna a group of human rights advocates, recognizes the need for systemic change in how we serve people who are suffering. By becoming trauma literate and incorporating traditional and modern healing practices we envision a global society that heals rather than harms. We offer traumatology and healing practices for people suffering from the effects of traumatic events. Healing suffering and dancing all the time. TIME!!
