Overcoming Into Your Becoming.

Sisters, has there ever been a time that you put up for an application to an important fellowship, grant, award, nomination, scholarship, job, proposal, bid, failed an examination or even failed to succeed in your marital goals?

I bet that a lot of us will identify and recognise this first paragraph. Truly, because it exists every single day, hour and minute of our lives .

Dissapointment  and rejection is an inevitable experience that we must face in one or the other in our life journey.

Recently, I confided in one of my WorldPulse ambassadors and mentor of how lately I had been getting rejection emails to important grants, global fellowships and bids. It's been so depressing that I wonder were did I go wrong? Was I not qualified enough? Did I not meet their requirements even after all the adherence. Was my application less stronger than another candidate who they felt required to get the post other than I? A lot go through my mind every single time I see a rejection email, text or call.

I remember vividly early this year when I received one, I was so depressed that I wanted to just let the earth swallow me. I felt I was a failure and undeserving. I felt like my life depended on it.

After all of these dark thoughts and intentions,  I said to myself, “why will I allow myself become an object of dissapoimtment,  when a lot of people look up to me for mentoring, support and advocacy every single day. WHY DO I HAVE TO GIVE UP NOW?”.

Of what Use will it be if I told my MAKER that I just wanted to quit?

Of what use will a great success story be if there was no story of challenges and hardships experienced in between. There has to be a story for a glory. And then it dawned on me of the beautiful and life changing opportunities that had come across my way before the rejection responses and in between my life journey. When I look back, I realise that I had been lucky and others will kill to be part of it too.

So my point here ladies is, “Its time for the LADIES to wake up from their regrets, fears, demotivation, indifference,  non-challantness and lastly ingratitude. Appreciate what you have now and prepare your way to your success stories with challenging situations and stories as this your journey on earth exists".

So some people may be wondering why I post here a lot these days as well as encourage . The truth is I do it because there is a whole lot to share.  The good part, is women deserve to be inspired and motivated to be their best. if adding value to the lives of thousands of women from various backgrounds, beliefs, culture and works at some difficult time in their lives or career is all that WorldPulse platform offers me, then it is worth every bit of effort and investment. It lifts my spirit everyday to let others know that regardless of what their circumstances suggest, "there is hope", and that there is greatness on the inside of each and everyone of us. So then do not hinge your success on others!

I leave you with these few tips that has helped me admist turmoils and a great uplift for me and miraculously for others. They are :

1. Pray your way into success. 2. Find focused and committed mentors. 3. Build a reliable professional network . 4. Know your skills, competencies and passions and stick to them thick and thin. 5. Focus on becoming an expert within your field(s) of interest . 6. Remain incredibly positive at all times . 7. Inspire others in your journey through successes.

8. Lastly, do not allow the dissapointment and challenges disrupt your goals to impacting others.

Whatever Greatness you want others to remember you for before you are out of this world, it had better be a remarkable one.

Well, a true legacy all the way - so, overcome and start becoming.
