Beautiful live without violence

I met my old friend in one of coffee shop near my office a week ago. We had a nice chat and suddenly she told me about her physical abuse made by her ex husband. Oh my God, it was a very sad story that I ever heard. She told me that only a month after her marriage, her ex started to punch and hit her just because a small thing. While she was pregnant, her ex also hit her stomach, chokes her and throws a chair into her. She has to stay at the hospital for a while.

Not only physically abuses, she also experiencing financially abuses. She should earn money and should pay all domestic expenses. She go to work early in the morning and when she go home late her husband will started to punch her. She’s tried many ways to run from her lunatic husband.

She could not stay any longer in her marriage so she purposed for marriage disposal. At once, her ex was rejected and started to punch her again and again. My friend reported this condition to the police but she was upset because police said that her problem is “domestic problem” and they can not help her. What?? Whereas, police is already get the medical report from the doctor and she has many witnesses. Police asked my friend to go to the women institution which can help her problem. Unfortunately, that institution can not help her just because my friend marriage is intermarriage between Indonesia and England. Then, she went to the embassy and reported her condition. The answer is just the same, they can not help her because there is no report from local police.

Fortunately, after long and hard discussion with her ex husband, he accepted the marriage disposal. She can breath freely now and continuing her life with her handsome son.

Actually women are conscious about her position but they need supports from many part. The support is not just to listen and help the psychological side but also make a huge real action.
