STORIES MATTER

Flyer for the storytelling competition

When I joined WorldPulse  and started sharing my stories, I realised how many people were going or had gone through same experience. The feedback I got each time I posted a story, gave me hope that my voice is being heard. I then realised that, no matter how small the story might seem, it matters.  Stories matter and if well told,  stories can go a long way in advocating for gender equality,  peace, justice, strong institutions and fight against hate speech.

so I decided to create ARM TALKS , a storytelling platform where people around my community can tell their stories that no one knows about and make their voices count in fuelling positive change .

Yesterday,  my team and I launched the storytelling project and we will be starting in March with a storytelling competition . Entry is currently open for the competition.

A lot goes untold around us but if we can have more platforms through which different communities can reach out to the world with their stories,  then we are sure of making progress towards sustainable development.

if you are in Cameroon, you can register to participate. See link below
