I began working at World Pulse in January of 2014. I love the global engagement with inspirational and thoughtful women across the globe. My professional passion is the Nonprofit sector, where I work to leverage the data, financial resources and human capacity to create and communicate real impact, build organizational capacity and improve sustainability. I love the practices of Financial Management, Organizational Development and Impact/Performance Measurement/Management within all of that, especially the challenges of addressing multiple bottom lines. Before World Pulse, I practiced these specialties through my own consulting practice. I've also been fortunate to have worked with talented professionals in the corporate sector, including working with a high caliber international team. After a relocation to Portland Oregon from Denver Colorado (after more than 30 years), and completion of the Masters in Nonprofit Management degree from Regis University, I have found my home here and at World Pulse.
My roles as wife (Larry is an artist and an architect), mother (and mother-in-law), daughter, sister and friend are those that give my life its truest meaning, which is further enriched through my creative pursuits (yes, accountants can use both sides of their brains!). My dabbling there includes horticulture; designing and making with textiles and fibers; and playing Celtic music on the harp. I believe art and creativity enrich the lives of women--and men too of course--across the globe, within the context of all sorts of circumstances. It is through creative expression that we connect with our souls to become more fully what we were meant to be--empowered, if you will! One part of the power of World Pulse is how we foster this life-giving expression through the cultivation of the written, beautifully crafted words of women everywhere.
My Vision for the Future
