Behind Every Successful Man There Is A Woman.

You may have seen so many successful and notable scientists known for their contributions in every field, but did you notice how there are so many men and just a handful of women? The reason for this was many women have been robbed of their work and contributions just because they were women. Some of the great achievements in the world wouldn’t have been possible without these women who were the backbone of the achievements but were never given the fame they deserved. You might think that it was in ancient times and women are now acknowledged for their contributions but that is not the case, there are still many women who don’t get enough credit for their work. The women you see getting fame, they didn’t get it easily they worked harder than most men to be able to receive the credit they deserved.

1) ROSALIND FRANKLIN

Many people don’t know who Rosalind Franklin is. She used x-rays to take a picture of DNA that would change biology. Her discovery was noble prize worthy and it did receive noble prize but she wasn’t the one who received it. James Watson and Francis Crick along with Maurice Wilkins who were working alongside Rosalind won the noble prize. Franklin died 4 years before these 3 won noble prize.

2) LISE MEITNER

Everyone knows it was Otto Hahn who discovered nuclear fission, but did you know it wouldn't have been possible if lise Meitner didn’t find the correct explanation for the fission. Lise Meitner worked alongside Otto Hahn in discovering the nuclear fission but when Otto Hahn produced the idea of fission but he couldn’t give a proper explanation for it, Lise Meitner and her nephew Otto Frisch came up with the explanation. But unfortunately Otto Hahn never included her name when he published his findings.

3) CHIEN-SHIUNG WU

Chien-Shiung Wu overturned a law of physics and participated in the development of the atom bomb. She was part of the Manhattan project and successfully conducted research on radiation detection and uranium enrichment. Tsung-Dao Lee and Chen Ning Yang went to Chien-Shiung Wu for her help in disproving the law of parity. So she along with Tsung-Dao Lee and Chen Ning Yang were able to disprove the law of parity which was considered as one of the milestones in the field of physics and Tsung-Dao Lee and Chen Ning Yang won the noble prize for it and Chien-Shiung Wu didn’t.

These above women weren’t the only ones who were snubbed of their glory and their work, there have been so many others likeESTHER LEDERBERG, JOCELYN BELL BURNELLetc who got robbed of their fame just because they were women.
