Introducing myself and my journal: Myth Hunter

About Me:
From the time I was a young child losing my parents and family and being raised in the foster care system taught me that adversity could either make or break me and that change is the only unchanging variable in life. Now I am a social psychologist with over 20 years experience working with diverse populations promoting human potential and change. Working with my personal life myth has been integral to discovering my own potential and facilitating the change in my life.
I am currently a Doctoral candidate in social psychology exploring how life myth work facilitates the experience of being alive, informs relationships and makes meaning. Drawing on Process Work and cutting edge research that explores dreams, memorable events and indigenous ways of knowing I am working to help people creating meaningful ways of life and relationship.
In addition to my personal & relationship myth work, I also coordinate a Bay area program training young adults transitioning out of the justice and foster care system to conduct social justice workshops as part of their intrapersonal and interpersonal healing work.
