Feminist Artist Soraya Nulliah Interviews Me Regarding My Campaign Against India's Femicide

Hello Friends,

Recently I was asked by Canadian-Indian Feminist Artist Soraya Nulliah if I would be willing to do an interview for her blog about the campaign I run (The 50 Million Missing Campaign) against femicide in India. I have given many interviews to newspapers regarding my work, but not many blog interviews. However, Soraya's questions had a unique perspective. Not only is she of Indian origin, but she also uses her art to speak about the genocide of Indian women. She talked about how the issues of violence that impact on women in India -- dowry violence, dowry murders and forced female fetal abortions, haunt the women in Canada and the U.S. too.

It was a wonderful interview. Here we were two Indian women -- living on opposite ends of the world, speaking freely, openly, heart-to-heart, about something we both felt passionately about.

It has been by far the best interview I have ever given. Newspapers tend to edit you out. But the blog is the freedom of speech!!! And Soraya presented my opinions in an unedited, fearless way. I am so glad for this. I share this interview with you here. http://media.causes.com/1060378?email=true
