Introducing myself and my journal: A Page of My Own

About Me:
A communications consultant with extensive experience in project management, strategic planning, and integrated marketing communications, I have managed corporate and internal communications for multimillion-dollar companies across diverse industries, as well as for several nonprofit organizations. I, along with my husband, am currently channeling my skills towards social entrepreneurship to increase awareness and reduce disparity in public health through effective global research and training, development of information technology platform and deployment of mobile healthcare and alternative medical solutions. One of our non-profit organization, R3G Foundation, Inc.'s projects to implement an emergency healthcare system in Kolkata has been chosen as one of the eight winners of the Rockerfeller Innovation Challenge, 2012, and we have relocated to India to work on the project. Along with several other projects, our organization's Indian arm, Mission Arogya, is also working to stop female foeticide in India. iSaveAGirl has also won the prestigious Idea Award from Ashoka Changemakers and Intel. In addition to a passion for social entrepreneurship, I also write poetry, many of which have been published in reputed international journals.
