Introducing myself and my journal: Dare to Explore

About Me:
I am a Muslim girl, grew up a small community of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Being a citizen of an underdeveloped country, I have seen people in destitution and observed how poverty eats away human's moral consciousness. I have seen communities where women are being suppressed, mentally and physically tortured in the name of religion and culture. I have experienced the helpless when you see unethical conducts and violence are happening but can't take any steps against that due to the lack of support.

Fortunately, I have been privileged to grow up in a well to do family, under the guidance of such an excellent women, my mother, who taught me to question and challenge every wrong unethical deed that I come across. She aspired me to look beyond the conservative society and explore my every dream. It is her, who taught me that one can be anything one aspired to be regardless one's gender or nationality. With her motivation I got enrolled in Asian University of Women, where I got the opportunity to learn and explore beyond my community and country. I have got to learn about women all over the world and what kind of challenges they are facing in comparison to my country. With developing skill and knowledge, now I know that even though physically I can't make an direct impact against the women suppression in my country, my writing and voice certainly can. Therefore, I am working to develop my writing and journalism skills, and hopefully Voice of Future will take me a step ahead to my goal.

Personally, I am a very optimist human being. I believe changes can happen and we can turn our dreams of a better future into reality with our determination and efforts. For that, it is very important for me to retain my courage and struggle my way through any kind of obstacles without losing hope.
