Eradicate the Ticket (FGM) to Child Early and Forced Marriage with Me
Young girls who are supposed to be in school but whose lives are dictated by ailing traditional norms. Their rights are violated and they continue missing out on education which is key to self development. High levels of illiteracy among girls and women is still high and contributing to low-self esteem in women. Capacity Building on importance of education and other rights for girls and on key decision makers can make great changes
Am out to unyoke, uplift and empower the girl child from the throes of early childhood marriage and improve their live by providing them with safe shelter. I educate, advocate and empower girls and women.We have conducted workshops /training on women on harmful effects of FGM on girls. Those already trained are women. FGM is practiced by women and is the ‘ticket’ to Child Early Forced Marriage. Most girls aged between 9 and 12 go through FGM after which they are viewed as young adults and are married off as mature and ready for motherhood
