The Battle against Street Harassment

On 13th April, Jaswinder Sign @freudontherocks from Protsahan @NGOProtsahan conducted a tweetchat on the battle against Street Harassment as part of Anti-Street Harassment Week.

The chat began by questioning whether the existent laws against street harassment in India are being implemented as they should be and if the women police squads were enough of a measure to stop street harassment. The audience was then asked about the most ridiculous arguments they had heard justifying street harassment. The chat then went on to discuss what educational institutions and the media are doing to raise awareness about street harassment and whether they are doing anything to prevent it. Bringing the chat to an end, the audience was asked what would truly help to counter harassment.
