Autism and its Impact on Women

On 13th May, Jaki Mathaga @Mathugz Founder of ADAT Foundation conducted a tweetchat on Autism and its impact on women.

The chat first began by speaking about what autism is, to acquaint the participants with what it meant, what it is called in local languages and the meaning it has in each context. The discussion then went on to the issues that women and mothers encounter when dealing with disability since they are the primary caregivers. Participants were asked to share their thoughts on what mothers can do when they receive an autism diagnosis for their child. Bringing the chat to an end, everyone was asked for ways in which each person can advocate for those with autism.

A tweetchat by Jaki!
