Children and their Rights

On the occasion of Children’s Day celebrated on 14th Nov in India, Safecity conducted a tweetchat with Protsahan@NGOProtsahan about children’s rights in contemporary India.

The chat began by asking NGO Protsahan about the basic rights children are entitled to and the different issues that children in different parts of India face today. We also asked them about the national report & audit on the status of implementing child rights across the country the results of which were dismaying. You can read more about it in the chat. The tweetchat touched upon the issue of child labour and asked the NGO for suggestions on what one could do to ensure that they children people come across are able to avail and education and are not forced to work. The chat ended by asking the NGO as well as all the participants what each one could do in their own capacity to protect children’s right and to ensure safer lives for them.

A tweetchat with Protsahan!
