We have many challenges. We need more information about women on the ground, in Bukavu or other eastern DRC areas, who are organizing or who want to organize ways of changing the roles of women and the cultural impacts of rape in their communities. We are health sciences researchers. Cathy and Brad are specialized in brain imaging in healthy and diseased brains, and Naomi is a materials scientist investigating better techniques for cancer detection. Cathy also has extensive journalism experience.
My Vision for the Future
We envision a world where Violence Against Women, in all countries, becomes categorically unacceptable, at all levels. In short, to eliminate the culture of rape that allows VAW a place in society.
